Came up with these while playing a game in Pogo (www.pogo.com) and glancing at the chat.
- People who are 40 or more years of age, but never grew up and think that talking dirty is The Shit.
- “I should of talked to him than.” Translation: “I should HAVE talked to him, THEN.” WTF? Is it “Hooked on Phonics” backlash? “Of” instead of “have”? Then/than. Their/there/they’re. You know the rest. Dumbasses. No wonder the Republicans don’t want to fund education, because the less educated people are, the more likely they are to vote Republican. As Bill Clinton said, essentially, the more people think, the more likely they are to vote for a Democrat.
And to my Republican friends – you know what I’m talking about, so don’t you dare take offense to that. I’m talking about the knee-jerk Republican voters who still think Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11. What was that number, Dave? 39%? The voters who choose Republicans because they believe that Democrats are immoral. The voters who think Christmas is under attack by the liberals. I’m NOT talking about the Republicans who want less government and more fiscal responsibility.
The room I play in is full of unhappy married people in their 40s who talk about NASCAR and motorcycles and 4-wheelin’. And in between discussions about back pain and their kids, they get all nasty with each other and giggle whenever they make some childish statement about sex. I once saw an argument in this room between two women. One of them, Pammypoo (I know, right?), was throwing insults left and right, “You’re stupid!” “I’ll bet your ass is wide!” “I’ll bet you don’t even shave your pits!!!!!” Yes. The Ultimate Insult. Being European.
Why do I play there? Because I’m good enough at the game that I need to be in a consistently populated room so that not all my scores come up as a “top” score.
Why do I keep the chat turned on?
Well…
What would I do during Intermission?

Wow that’s some bad grammar there. I wrote and said “mine as well” instead of “might as well” for the longest time though until a friend pointed it out to me, and I was like “oh I guess that makes more sense.”

I understand. It’s like song lyrics… “Excuse me while I kiss this guy,” or, “Lucy in disguise as Linus.” But this one was just BAD. I’ve seen “of” instead of “have” more and more often, and that bothers me. I’m not perfect by any means, but really, folks, pay attention in class!!

Actually, it’s “Lucy is disguised as Linus.” Not to be picky or anything.

It’s your mother, not mine, who had it wrong. ;)
